I am in Australia also.Have been to Nowe Swieciany,now Svencionelliai,my parents and grandmother lived there.Grandad WOJCIECHOWICZ worked on the water tower near the railway station.He is buried at the cemetary.My maiden name was ROZMIANIEC.How I would love to go back. адказаць
Hello from Australia. My husband & I are coming to find the area my father grew up (1930-1940). We have been working on sketchy information and I have now narrowed it down to this being the town(Nowes Swienceny). He remembers a railway station, river, narrow gauge and standard gauge railway, barracks. The family were the Wroblewskis and my Dziadziu was in charge of the army supplies. They lived in a house closeby where Russians stayed during the occupation. It looks like these photos tie-in. any informations and descriptions of the above photos would be most appreciated.
